The Secretary of State has approved this initiative for the November ballot by verifying the collection of 504,760 signatures from the residents of California that the American Agents Alliance team assembled. The President of Alliance said, “It rewards consumers for following the law and allows a new discount for continually having auto insurance”.
The 2012 Automobile Insurance Discount Act differ from the current available offer by providing additional discounts to military personnel, to those that have lost their job for up to 18 months, and to the parents of the children who live with them.
The California 2012 ballot propositions have already certified 5 initiatives and the residents of California can vote on November 6, 2012. Almost 505,000 registered voters signed this petition for the 2012 Automobile Insurance Discount Act more people are participating, which indicates that it is likely to pass.
“The present system is unfair to consumers. It is ridiculous that consumers lose their discount if they have earned it. We strongly believe that allowing the consumers to control their discount will create a more competitive and cost effective insurance market. We urge all the Californians to read the initiative,” expressed Ken Moy, President of American Agents Alliance.
